Mental and Behavioral Health

The Boothbay Community Center offers a number of programs to keep us all mentally healthy. They include:

  • Social Connection: The Community Center is a loving, warm, inviting and safe place for people of all ages to socialize and/or read a book, use a computer, or listen to music

  • Mental Health Support Group co-sponsored by National Alliance on Mental Illness meets monthly on the third Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 PM

Adults talking about issues

  • Increase Inner Peace: The Three Principles of Mental Health Support Group meets every Thursday from 2 to 3 PM

  • Recovery & Resilience Support Group: Learning to Live from the Inside Out. Our Substance Mis-Use Recovery Group using the Three Principles of Mental Health meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7 PM

  • An open Mindfulness Meditation group meets every Wednesday in the summers from 5 to 6 PM

  • Death Cafe meets the second Monday of each month from 5 to 6:30 PM to discuss death and dying

  • Newly Bereaved Support Group meets the first and third Mondays from 5 to 6:30 pm
